Well I haven't shot film for some time (years), but the pull to get back to it is strong. I have a group that would like to organize a community darkroom but in the meantime what is a good place to get film developed. I dropped some off at Walgreens and it disappeared. I know I'm rusty but I'm not that bad lol. Thanks everyone

@Twilli53@Twilli53 Welcome on board - I hope you'll find it worthwhile. I'm sorry I can't answer your question because I'm not in the U.S. and don't know my way around over there, but I think someone else will chime in to help you out.

  3. G'day mate, glad you to see another film fella. If you get the chance, let's know what film gear you have . Cheers from Australia.

    Welcome aboard!

Where are you located in the US? One of the forum-ites might be better placed to answer your query about where to develop your film.

There are a couple of threads in the forum about developing film at home - plenty of tips/tricks there. I haven't made the leap to home-development yet.

Here in NZ most brick & mortar camera stores will take film (a fair few will still send them away to be developed, particularly if they're B&W or Slide) but a know there are a few small-specialist outfits that you can post your film to, they'll dev it and then send back the negs (and prints or digitise them for you too if you like).

I have a Nikon FA with a 24 2.8 ais and 50 1.8 and 70-210. The 24 is on the camera most all the time. I also shoot an old Canon F1 and AE1 Program with a 28, 50, and 100 FD. I like the viewfinders on the Canon's better. I'm getting older so autofocus is in my future as my eyesight is not as sharp now. Thanks for the welcome everyone.
I am in Avon Park, Florida, almost in the center of the state.

Well I put my Nikon FA up for sale today. I just had it CLA'd and new seals . Just a couple of patina specks keep it from being mint-. I hate to give up on manual focus. Any suggestions on a nice bright viewfinder. I've heard the F3 is really good as are some Olympus. My AE1 is not terrible and I am vested in Nikon and Canon lens, so that's probably where I'll stay until I have to make the move. My F1 needs a total overhaul so it may be retirement for it although I love that tough SOB.
